The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University invites applications for a faculty position at any level in human-centered computing, including but not limited to visualization, visual analytics, human-computer interaction (HCI), and graphics.
The Computer Engineering Area of the school [1] has nineteen faculty members with active research programs in areas including AI, architecture, compilers, computer vision, distributed systems, embedded systems, graphics, haptics, HCI, machine learning, multimedia systems, networking, networking applications, NLP, OS, robotics, software engineering, and visualization. In addition, the school recently established a national research center in the visualization sciences.
Eligible candidates are required to have a PhD in computer science, engineering or a related field, and have demonstrated research record commensurate with the level of the position for which they are applying. Academic duties of the position include teaching, advising students, and maintaining a strong research program.
